Module: Ethics Social Justice and Human Rights

LO3 Evaluate codes of ethics used by social care workers.

Assignment
- Define ethics and outline the principles that define an ethical dilemma, giving an example from one ethical approach you have studied.
- Using an ethical response cycle of your choice, outline how an ethical dilemma may be resolved in a social care setting. You may use examples/case studies to support your discussion.
Criteria:
- Refer to one ethical approach that you have studied in your discussion ie: capability theory, ethics of care, deontology, utilitarianism.
- Outline the stages that are used when responding to an ethical dilemma effectively. You may refer to work experience/case studies to support your discussion
