• The idea of this assignment is to write an academic essay focusing on an aspect of course and materials design which interests you. This is the chance to get in and explore a particular area in more depth, but just like assignment two you can contextualize it as you wish.

• Then, problematize it. Turn it into a question and link it to your context. This will help you to write a more analytical essay and avoid being overly descriptive.
• When you start writing the essay, don’t get too bogged down in context. The key thing is to get into showing that you can apply what we have been talking about and reading about on the course to a particular context.
